In order to sync up products and modifiers between Brandibble and Revel, you need to match up barcodes or SKUs between the two systems.
To figure out if you’re using Barcodes or SKUs, visit the Revel > General Settings page in Brandibble:
Let’s assume you’re using barcodes. The next step is to make sure all of your Revel products & modifiers have barcodes. The easiest way to do this is to generate them automatically by going to the Products tab in the Revel backend and then clicking on the “Extras” option in the left sidebar. This will give you the opportunity to automatically generate barcodes for any items that don’t have them.
You then need to browse to the detailed info for each Product and Modifier in Revel and grab the barcodes. Once you have that, you can visit the Revel > Barcodes / SKUs page on Brandibble, which looks like this:
You’ll need to fill in the barcodes in each of the red cells that are missing them, and you’ll want to be careful not to include any extra spaces at the beginning or end of the barcode.
Once you’ve filled out all barcodes, then you’ll need to regenerate your menus on Brandibble, which will apply the changes. When you do this, we’ll provide a list of items that haven’t been mapped, which could happen for one of several reasons:
- The barcode may not have been entered on Brandibble.
- The barcode may have been entered incorrectly on Brandibble.
- The product or modifier may not exist on Revel.
This is the process you should follow every time you add a new product or modifier to your Revel menus (if you want it to be available on Brandibble as well).
